If I had to do L's progress on a chart, it would be mostly climping up with a dip and leveling off this summer. The meds helped it to continue to cllimb. His clinginess got better before the meds and disappeared without me really noticing. His academic progress has always been steady. If you compared his first testing when he tested MR to the last test where he was in the normal range, you would see great improvements. The behavior and socialization made great strides because he was so far behind the curve to begin with. However, when he was placed in a less restrictive environment he fell way back and we seemed to hit a brick wall. The meds have really helped him to move on and to heal. Because his behavior is so much better, the kids are more willing to cuddle and interact with him now which is helping his socialization all around. We still have some work to do, but it is on a tolerable level now.
