Wow, thank you for all the support. God was definitely involved in making this match. I actually got a call this morning from a case worker for another child (this time in Rhode Island), saying that they were interested in having me adopt this child. It was very hard to say "no," but I have already decided that two special needs kids is enough for this single mom. If I ever get married, I'd like more kids, but, for right now, I want to make sure that I have the resources to give the kids all they need. I will definitely check out Target to get some baby dolls. Both kids need to work on their pretend play skills.

I actually have experienced the ICPC process before since G. is from Texas. I just haven't experienced Oregon's process yet. My social worker here did say, however, that Oregon does tend to move pretty fast, which is good.

I just ordered beds yesterday (G. is also ready to transition to a big bed) as well as bedding. G. and I move into a bigger place in a better school district in a few weeks and then we should be about ready for A. I can't wait. I'm trying to teach G. to say A.'s name. He's starting to get it, but he definitely doesn't get the idea that he's going to have a sister.

Though the fig tree may not blossum, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields produce no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls-yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
