Just an update - we received some more information from another caseworker in the county. I really wish our homestudy was done already! Any thoughts or advice on his issues?
Thank you for your inquiries regarding this child.
Christian has had 2 failed adoptive placements and one failed kinship placement. He is now in a foster home who has known him since age 2. Christian is looking for a forever family with experience parenting traumatized and foster children. Ongoing education in parenting difficult children is a must. Christian will also need ongoing mental health services and medication management. Christian has attachment issues and is diagnosed ADHD. His difficult behaviors are mostly around manipulation, exaggeration, and arguing. He has the great ability to push adults buttons and split authority. Christian is extremely intelligent and enjoys reading. Christian is looking for a forever family without children his age or younger as he will need a lot of attention and one on one work to create good attachments. Christian has biological family and many supports in Colorado who he would like to keep in touch with. Travel to Christian for transition and therapy purposes is also a must for a potential adoptive home.
If you think you and your family may be a match for Christian, please send us your homestudy.
