I hate the popsicle falling and I am much older!

there are a number of threads about the incessant question asking, which is associated with a much younger child. No one may have answered her questions before. And she doesn't know you very well and it's a way to have a conversation. It usually goes away. And when they do ask, the questions get much harder as they grow older. (just had to look up the answer to 2 today.)

Also, try shortening the choices.

"You can have a banana or apple for snack."
-Can I have a cookie?
"No, you can have a banana or apple for snack."
-Can I have grapes?
"You can have a banana for snack."
-"What happened to the apple? that choice went away. One more time. Do you want a banana or no snack?"

Also close the window for choice. Or offer no choice at all.

Do you want a snack?"
"What is it?"
"A banana."
"I want watermelon."
"too bad, A banana is what's on offer. And it's a long time until supper."
