It was fun. More tidbits that arose yesterday evening:

B says Jo is a really good explainer. They were the ones that watched the anime movie longer, and evidently she was being teacher.

N told Jo she looked like Cho Chang (Harry Potter 4). B agreed. ("I said, "She's from Guatemala not China!" "I know, but I told her she was the same kind of beautiful." B says, "Yup, I say he's right."

N also said S is worried because she is not pretty and boys won't like her. "I told her she was crazy because she is very pretty, just a different kind of pretty from Jo." B was listening and said, "She shoulda asked me! I would tell her some girls are quiet and pretty and some girls are loud and pretty and she is quiet and pretty. Boys want to kiss the quiet and pretty ones." N and I looked at him in astonishment. "Well, they think about kissing the quiet and pretty ones. Some boys do." Conversation then disintegrated into brotherly teasing and I started cracking up.

DD, who is dyslexic, thinks there's a good chance Jo is dyslexic. They had a conversation in Spanish where Jo's problem with left and right came up. A problem with dyslexia is that if you are smart, you learn to compensate and it's frequently not detected and just get a rep for being careless with your work.

We really had a good time.
