Thanks for your heartfelt thanks. I'm not bothered by the in-laws. They only know how to show love but through diamond earrings, expensive bracelets and gold.

I don't know how our lawyer got such an early courtdate. She herself anticipated the end of Sept or sometime in October. Our county did though just add a second day each week to the court calender set aside strictly for adoptions.

We are not technically having a party. DH & I have just never made the connection with many other people here so friends are few. To remember the special day my Mom and Dad are giving her a gold locket and Dh & I are going to give her a charm bracelet. Great Nana is taking the whole family on a cruise again this year for Christmas so we can start collecting some charms for that bracelet :D

C.'s favorite restaurant is a fondue restaurant which at $50 per person is a once or twice a year birthday or anniversary splurge for us...C. is the fourth great grandchild, but surely the apple of her eye. After our Christmas cruise last year, C. wrote a thank you letter to great Nana. That letter is now framed in great nana's bedroom and means more to her than all the money in the world...I am pretty sure that C. Great Nana will take the six of us to C.'s fav restaurant for a nice celebration dinner or do anything else her heart desires.
