It is so amazing how the kids adopt ethnicity. Our 2 Scots/English/Cherokee by birth readily fit into ours which is very similar, but DD is half Polish, so they have become "part Polish." Even funnier, Daddy's Home, a courtesy uncle, is all Italian (or maybe I should say, intenesely Italian!), they have decided they are part Italian, too. More the merrier, I say.

How lucky for DH that he has found you with parents like that. He has reacted to that upbringing by turning the opposite. Good. And, how very sad and unhappy they must be as are all of those who equate material things with love.
