Hi there. You guys may not remember me since I haven't posted in a long time. I ended up adopting a little boy with cerebral palsy last November (he's three now). We're both doing great. I also had mentioned to me social workers that I might be ready to look at adopting again in the near future and had her send my home study out about a few kids. I was expecting everything to take forever like it did with G., but last week I went out of town; and when I came back, I had ten messages from my adoption agency. I've already gotten chosen for one of the little ones I was interested in. She'll be five at the end of this month (so she's sixteen months older than G.) and has high functioning autism. I'm a speech therapist, and her social worker really wanted her to go to a family with some knowledge of disabilities and various special needs. I'll probably be getting her around October, but that just depends on the ICPC and stuff. She's in Oregon, and I'm in Arizona. Has anyone here had any experience in adopting from Oregon?
Anyway, I'm very excited. I will soon have two little ones and I'm thinking I will have my hands full.

Though the fig tree may not blossum, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields produce no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls-yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
