That's the name of the New Jersey based agency that placed the Russian girl into the home of a single father, who went onto sexually abuse her. She came home at 5, and is now 14 and has been readopted by a single mother. But this man, abused her from the very first night she came home. She never even had her own bedroom. He slept with her and even "married" her in a mock wedding. He eventually begin photographing her nude and performing sexual acts, and 100s of these photos have been distributed over the Internet for years.
The placing agency never did one post-placement visit, which would have sent off alarms. He effectively purchased this young girl for sexual gratification. The agency also never met or spoke with his anyone related to or connected to him for references. He was divorced and had sexually molested his biological daughter.
The adoptive father is now serving 15 years federal time, and new charges are likely to come. I believe the young girl was on Oprhah yesterday.
What surprises me is the fact that the placing adoption agency, here in New Jersey, appears to still be in business, despite not following the law. Why didn't they lose their licensing? Or did they? Their website appears to be current and it appears to be a fully functioning agency. Why aren't they being held accountable for their negligence?
Interestingly, the founder of this agency, had been fired from Families Thru International Adoption (based out of Indiana) prior to striking out on her own.
How unethical does an agency have to before the government shuts them down? GEESH.
